TJ Ghossein, 3rd Year Bat Boy
TJ comes back to the Commodores as a sixth grader at Morse Pond Middle School. His favorite sports are hockey and soccer. Already a great goalie, TJ will be attending a special camp this summer to extend those abilities. TJ performs well in math, where he finds most problems pretty easy for him!
Declan Norris, 3rd Year Bat Boy
Declan returns to the Commodores as a sixth grader at Morse Pond Middle School. Declan plays third base for Falmouth Youth Baseball’s SML team. Declan also plays travel soccer and basketball. He enjoys going fishing with his friends, and plays the drums in the school band. Declan won a blue ribbon and Best in Show for his “Super S’mores Brownies” last year at the Barnstable County Fair.
Gavin Friel, 2nd Year Bat Boy
Gavin is a 6th grader at Morse Pond Middle School. He plays shortstop and catches for Chapman, Cole and Gleason in Falmouth Youth Baseball. Gavin loves all sports, but his favorite sports are soccer and basketball. He has participated in travel basketball the past two years. Gavin recently won the Morse Pond Idol Contest by singing the National Anthem.
Eathen Vecchione, 1st Year Bat Boy
Eathen joins the Commodores as a third grader at Teaticket Elementary School. Eathen plays third base and catcher for Falmouth Youth Baseball’s Cavossa team as well as the Cape Cod Clippers. In school, reading and math are his favorite subjects, he is also fluent in Portuguese. Eathen loves all sports, but his passion is baseball, and he hopes to one day become a professional baseball player.
Gavin McKeon, 1st Year Bat Boy
Gavin joins the Commodores as a fourth grader at North Falmouth Elementary School. Gavin plays pitcher and shortstop for Falmouth Youth Baseball’s Kenyons team as well as the Cape Cod Clippers. He enjoys skiing, hunting, fishing, soccer and football. Gavin wants to play for the Boston Red Sox one day.
Chase Briggs, 1st Year Bat Boy
Chase joins the Commodores as a fifth grader at Morse Pond Middle School. Chase plays second base and catcher for Falmouth Youth Baseball’s Elks team. In addition to baseball, Chase likes to play soccer, hockey, and basketball. He also enjoys swimming and XBox. Chase hopes to one day play soccer, hockey, and baseball at Boston College.
David Velesig, 1st Year Bat Boy
David joins the Commodores as a fourth grader at Mullen Hall Elementary School. David plays catcher, pitcher, and shortstop for Falmouth Youth Baseball’s SML team, as well as the Cape Cod Clippers. David loves to play golf, basketball, and flag football with his family and friends. He hopes to one day travel to Italy to learn about his family’s heritage.
Information: The Falmouth Commodores Bat Boy/Girl Program is open to boys and girls ages 10–13 (generally grades 4–8). Potential Bat Boys and Girls should be available throughout the season from mid-June thru the completion of any playoffs in mid-August for both home and away games.
